    PERSONAL DATA

    Saša (Radoslav) Bubanj was born on September 21, 1972. in Belgrade. He finished primary and secondary school in Niš, as well as the Faculty of Philosophy - Department of the Physical Education of the University of Niš, in 1996 with an average grade of 9.29/10. He received a grade of 10/10 in his graduation thesis. He defended his master's thesis entitled "Sports training, intensity and precautions in children: advantages and risks at the physiological level" in 2001 at the Department of Sports and Physical Activities of the University of Paris VI, Pierre and Marie Curie in France. He defended his doctoral dissertation entitled "The influence of isometric and ballistic muscle potential on the differences in bone tissue density of the spinal column and hip joint of athletes and non-athletes" in 2007 at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education of the University of Niš. He is married and the father of two children.

    PROFESSIONAL CAREER
    He started working at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education of the University of Niš in 2005, when he was elected to the position of assistant in the subject "Biomechanics". He participated in the realization/teaching of the program content of the practical part in the subject "Biomechanics" in the 2005/06, 2006/07 and 2007/08 school years. He was elected to the position of assistant professor in 2008, and ever since, he has been conducting practical and theoretical teaching in the subject "Biomechanics". He was elected to the title of associate professor in 2013, i.e. to the title of full professor in 2017. He is engaged in the following courses at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education of the University of Niš: "Biomechanics" (Basic academic studies, PES and Basic vocational studies, Sport), "Biomechanics of sport" (Specialized vocational studies, Sport), "Technology of Sport 2" (Master Academic Studies, Physical Education and Sport and Master Academic Studies, Distance Learning), "Exercise Biomechanics" (Master Academic Studies, Physical Education, Physical Activity and Health) and "Applied Biomechanics of Sport" (Doctoral Academic Studies) . He participates in the implementation of practical lessons in the subject "Skiing", as well as in the implementation of the entrance exam for inscription to the basic academic studies. He is currently engaged in the Master Academic Studies "Physical activity, health and exercise therapy" at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Belgrade, in the subject "New technologies in the modulation of motor skills and motor learning".

    SPORTS CAREER
    Ever since his pioneering days, he has been involved in handball and was a successful player in FR Yugoslavia, Israel and France. He played for H.C. Železničar Niš, H.C. Dubočica Leskovac, H.C. Jedinstvo Boljevac, H.C. Kikinda, H.C. Herzliya, Tel Aviv, H.C. Mulhouse, Dreux AC Handball, J.S.B. Handball Bonifacio. He was a member of the professional staff of the handball team of the University of Niš at the European University Handball Championship held in Serbia (Niš), July 14-20, 2008 and a member of the H.C. Železničar team from Niš, the last junior champion of the SFR Yugoslavia in handball in year 1991. He is being a current member of the assembly at H.C. Železničar Niš.

    CONTRIBUTION TO THE ACADEMIC AND WIDER COMMUNITY
    He is the leader, coordinator and participant in numerous international, regional and national projects (Tempus, Erasmus+, GIZ, ZUOV, etc.). He was elected as a corresponding member of the Serbian Academy of Education in 2020. He is the president and member of the review commission of the national body for accreditation and quality control in the Republic of Serbia (NAT). He actively participated in the work of the international scientific journal of the University of Niš called "Facta Universitatis Series Physical Education and Sport", in the period from 2010-2020, first as the secretary of the journal (2010-2015), and then as an Editor in Chief (2015-2020). He was a head of the Master Academic Study Program entitled "Physical education, physical activity and health". He lectured and gave oral presentations at numerous foreign and national universities and scientific conferences and courses. He was an Editor in Chief of the Proceedings of the scientific conference of the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, University of Niš, entitled "FIS Communications in Sport, Physical Education and Recreation". He was a member of the editorial board of the international scientific journal of the University of Nis, called "Teme", responsible for the field of science in sport. He is a member of the editorial section of the magazine "Sport Science" from Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is a reviewer in the journals "Facta Universitatis Series Physical Education and Sport", "Teme", "Scientific Research and Essays", "Exercise and Quality of Life", "Acta Facultatis Medicae Naissensis", "Athens Journal of Sports", "South African Journal", and others. He is a representative of the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education of the University of Niš, in the international organization called "European Network of Sport Education (ENSE)", and member of the international organization called "European College of Sport Science (ECSS)", as well as the "Association for Preventive Pediatrics of Serbia". His scientific papers have been cited 450 times (available at: https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=AKys1fsAAAAJ&hl=en). He is the author of over 120 bibliographic units in domestic and foreign literature, textbooks, practicums and scientific and professional monographs.
    He obtained the title of ski instructor of the Ski Association of Serbia. He passed the test organized by the International Foundation for Osteoporosis and the Association for the Struggle Against Osteoporosis, Serbia (issued certificate). He was chosen as the best student of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Niš in 1993. His short biography was published in the Encyclopedia of Niš, volume: Sport, issued by the Center for Scientific Research SANU and the University of Niš, edited by prof. dr. Nenad Živanović, in 2015, as well as in the Encyclopedia of Famous People of Niš, issued by the Association of Creators of Niš, editor Prof. Dr. Mile Novaković, 2020. He speaks, reads and writes English, French and Spanish very well (B2 and C1 level certificates).
